What is Tri County EAP?
Tri-County Employee Assistance Program is a personal family counseling center. A staff of experienced and trained professionals provides counseling services. They are knowledgeable about the issues and concerns that face all of us. All Tri-County staff maintains strict standards of confidentiality. Employers or others do now know who attends, or what is discussed.

How does Tri County EAP work?
Call our office to schedule your confidential appointment. In the event of an emergency we will arrange to see you promptly or direct you to an appropriate site for urgent care.

Our services are available five days a week and at least three evenings a week. We can be reached twenty-four hours a day for emergencies.

The first time you come to Tri-County EAP, you will meet with a counselor who has been selected to meet your particular needs, based on his or her areas of special interest and training. Together we will collect information, identify your concerns, and develop a plan for dealing with them that is agreeable to you. It may be that your concerns involve a child, a teen, or a spouse. If so, we can bring in these family members, making them a part of the solution.

What kind of problems are appropriate?
Our staff is prepared to help with many kinds of concerns, including depression, anxiety, stress, relationship problems, family problems, and problems of alcohol or other drug use. Almost any kind of problem in life can effect how we feel. Tri-County counselors can make the difference in a wide variety of situations by providing the attention and respect your concerns deserve.

Many of the concerns that people bring to Tri-County EAP can be resolved on a short-term basis. Once we complete an assessment, your counselor will help you decide how long you need to work on your concern.

Tri County EAP is a service for healthy people!
Healthy people get stuck! Most strong healthy people need a life adjustment once in a while. The fast pace and rapid changes in today’s world can be confusing and at times almost overwhelming. It is easy to lose sight of goals or get out of touch with personal values. It is easy to lose a sense of self and purpose. Relationships get strained and it becomes an ordeal just trying to keep up. A little help can go a long way. Our services are aimed at early intervention in a non-threatening manner.

How does Tri County EAP relate to other community services?
Tri-County EAP maintains relations with a variety of community service agencies. Our staff will refer people to self-help groups when it is appropriate. If specialty services are needed, such a psychiatric care of detoxification, we are able to refer to other local providers.
